Kennedys is looking to recruit a Financial Lines Attorney to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a varied caseload of insurance coverage matters, including litigation and dispute resolution, for a range of clients.
The role will involve working closely with partners and clients to provide high-quality legal advice and service. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance lines of coverage such as financial institutions, directors & officers' liability, management liability, professional liability, and other similar coverage lines. The role may also involve marketing and thought leadership efforts through practice related publications, professional association involvement, and other similar opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling a varied caseload of insurance coverage matters, including litigation and dispute resolution, for a range of clients - Working closely with partners and clients to provide high-quality legal advice and service - Marketing and thought leadership efforts through practice related publications, professional association involvement, and other similar opportunities - Participating in business development training and mentorship programs - Adhering to all relevant policies and procedures, including those relating to Information Security, Data Protection, and Quality Management - Keeping up-to-date with changes in the legal landscape and relevant industry developments
Requirements:
- Admitted and in good standing in the respective state where the candidate will work - Litigation and dispute resolution experience in insurance lines of coverage, such as financial institutions, directors & officers' liability, management liability, professional liability, and other similar coverage lines - Interest in marketing and thought leadership efforts through practice related publications, professional association involvement, and other similar opportunities - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment - Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning - Admissions in additional states is a plus
