Location: San Diego with potential for travel to other locations as needed.
Salary: Competitive base salary range of $129,300 to $295,700 for all geographic locations in the US. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $155,200 to $335,900. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined by factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.

Job Description:
- Act as a key point of contact for a wide range of clients and colleagues. - Provide domestic federal tax advice tailored to clients' unique needs. - Stay up-to-date with trends and changes in legislation that may affect planning activities. - Supervise high-performing teams and share your experience and knowledge of leading practices. - Develop the technical and soft skills of junior colleagues and participate in the performance management process. - Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of collaboration. - Prepare practical recommendations for complex tax issues. - Identify and resolve tax technical issues and share insights to improve efficiency. - Identify additional services to provide to clients. - Manage engagement economics, including budgets and projects. - Keep up-to-date on trends, developments, and technical authorities to apply them to complex situations.
Skills and Attributes for Success:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a graduate degree in Tax or Law and approximately eight years of related work experience. - CPA certification or licensed attorney status. - Background in tax compliance and accounting for income tax and a broad understanding of US income taxation. - Experience managing budgets and projects. - Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and data mining tools. - Ability to prioritize when working on multiple projects and the confidence to engage and integrate directly into clients' teams. - Willingness to travel as needed and work in a balanced hybrid environment.
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
- Proven record in a professional services environment. - Experience coaching and mentoring junior colleagues. - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. - Ability to adapt work style to collaborate with both internal and client team members. - Executive presence and business development skills.
