Law Firm Seeking Experienced Family Law Attorney in Charlotte, NC
Are you an experienced Family Law Attorney looking for a new opportunity? Our fast-growing regional Family and Elder Law Firm, with 15 locations in North and South Carolina, is seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented attorney to join our team in Charlotte, NC.
Responsibilities: - Analyze legal problems and create strategic plans of action for clients - Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and settlement agreements - Handle division of marital assets, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases - Attend court proceedings as needed to effectively represent clients - Collaborate with Managing Attorney to move cases through the civil litigation process - Consult with potential clients and manage their cases to ensure timely progress - Quality review all work for case law and written content/clarity - Keep client files organized and up to date - Advocate for clients by understanding their needs and forming strategies for action - Local travel for mediations, depositions, and court hearings as needed
Requirements: - 4 years of family law experience and an NC Law License - Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in high-stress and emotional situations - 4-year degree with legal background and J.D. degree required - Experience with billing and tracking billable time on cases - Team-oriented, organized, and willing to work across office locations when needed - Self-starter with ability to problem-solve and work independently - Willingness to travel locally for work
