Family Law Attorney - $100,000 yearly DOE, plus bonuses and benefits
Responsibilities: - Effectively solve legal problems for clients by analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action - Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, and marital settlement agreements - Handle the division of marital assets, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases - Attend court proceedings as needed to ensure effective representation of clients - Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process - Consult with potential clients to ascertain their needs and decide on the next steps - Engage in matter management to ensure timely progress in all cases - Quality-review all work for case law and written content/clarity
Qualifications: - License to practice law in South Carolina - 4 years experience working in a law firm on family law issues - Experience with billing and keeping track of billable time on cases - Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations - Team-oriented, flexible, organized, and willing to work across office locations when needed - Self-starter with the ability to take proactive initiative and work independently - Creative problem-solver with the ability to figure things out on your own - Willingness to travel locally for mediations, depositions, and court

Responsibilities of the Family Law Attorney include effectively solving legal problems for clients, drafting legal documents, attending court proceedings, and collaborating with other attorneys and staff. Qualifications for the position include a South Carolina law license and at least 4 years of experience working in a law firm on family law issues.
