Law Firm Seeks Experienced Family Law Associate Attorney
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled family law litigation attorney to join our dynamic practice at Joseph Greenwald and Laake PA. Our AV-rated law firm, with offices in Greenbelt and Rockville, MD, is offering an immediate hire for this position. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in Family Law and be able to handle a high-volume, complex, litigation-based practice.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in all areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and property division - Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, and discovery demands - Conduct discovery and depositions - Organize and maintain case files and documents - Communicate with potential new clients, clients, opposing counsel, and court staff - Schedule appointments and manage own calendar - Represent clients at court hearings and argue cases - Represent clients at mediations - Negotiate and settle cases
Requirements:
- 1 years of experience as a family law attorney - Familiarity with Maryland family law through law school coursework or equivalent legal experience - License to practice law in MD, with Virginia and DC admissions as a plus
