Work type: Full Time Hourly Location: Evansville, IN Categories: Facilities/Maintenance General Description of Position: The facilities maintenance technician serves a vital role to insure a safe and comfortable environment for students, faculty, and staff. Equipped to maintain, repair, and operate the building systems on campus such as basic electrical plumbing and HVAC issues. Candidates for consideration may have previous experience in maintenance is apartments, hotels, schools, or hospitals. Additional experience in trades such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing installation and repair would be considered. Major Responsibilities: Grounds maintenance not covered by contract services. Provides plumbing and electrical repairs and installation. Provides painting and wall repair services. Provides HVAC maintenance and repair. Assists in snow and ice removal, possible afterhours. Provides furniture set-up services for College functions. Responds to fire alarms during normal hours. Responds to afterhours emergencies as required. Minimum Qualifications: At least three years experience in related trade. Requires electrical, HVAC, and plumbing experience Valid driver's license. Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: An associates degree in maintenance. Other Requirements: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires routine standing, walking, lifting (50 Ibs. or greater) and carrying. Requires climbing, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching on an occasional basis. Requires the ability to hear, talk, see, and read on a constant basis.
