Job Description
Accountable for an IFW mindset in an area of influence
Accountable for good engineering practice in multiple engineering disciplines and consistent with company and industry engineering standards
Accountable for design integrity and fitness for service of engineering solutions from concept to start-up
Accountable for the quality and delivery of engineering outputs
Accountable for an effective engineering interface with all stakeholders
Responsible for engineering competency, staffing, training, learning and development in their respective area
Responsible for resource allocation and prioritisation
Accountable for the application of new technologies making operations and projects safer and more reliable
Accountable for the application of the ALARP principle in engineering
Accountable for reliability of engineering solutions
Accountable for an effective interface with Operations
Responsible for effective leadership in the engineering community
Accountable for engineering content in BMS
Responsible for the management of the Technical Query process/NCR/Deviation/Interface management for operated projects ensuring Technical Authority interfaces
Responsible/accountable for Engineering support in Process safety investigations, including action allocation and close out
Responsible for Project Facilities Engineering assurance reviews Accountable for assuring regulatory compliance, adhering to company standards and implementing industry best practice for all engineering activities in Norway
Chairing Advisory (Technical) committee license meetings/activity in operated development projects (Norway)
Qualifications Required:
Expert understanding of upstream oil and gas operations and technologies
Highly proficient in a core engineering discipline and competent in others
Highly proficient in the application of industry standards
Highly proficient in engineering practices
Strong communicator and influencer with the ability to understand complex multi-discipline issues and present clear solutions
Proven leader
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers and regulatory bodies
Demonstrates effective financial management of budget and costs both OPEX and CAPEX
Minimum of under-graduate degree in engineering or technology, preferable master level
Degree qualified in an engineering/technology discipline
Extensive oil and gas engineering, projects and operations
Substantial leadership
Operator and Supply chain preferred
All mandatory training as requested, including Compliance training usually provided annually.
Must possess a valid Basic Offshore Induction and Emergency Training certificate
