Law Firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Assistant to join their Appellate and Personal Injury Protection Group. This is a full-time position located in Plantation, FL.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist two extremely busy Attorneys - Work with clients and opposing counsel - Schedule and draft legal documents - File pleadings in state and federal courts - Knowledge of case management systems - Familiarity with L & A codes, billing software - Capture time and bill according to guidelines - Multi-task and stay calm under pressure - Good written and verbal communication skills - Good common sense and excellent problem solving skills - Detail oriented and work well under pressure
Job Requirements:
- 3-5 years of Legal Assistant Experience - High School Diploma or GED - Insurance defense experience is required, Appellate and PIP a plus

The candidate will work for two extremely busy Attorneys and therefore, Insurance defense experience is required, Appellate and PIP a plus. This position requires strong organizational skills, ability to perform well within a team environment and communicate professionally with clients and opposing counsel. Qualified candidates must be familiar with court procedures and have extensive experience scheduling, drafting legal documents, and filing pleadings in state and federal courts.
Knowledge of case management systems is required. Familiarity with L & A codes, billing software, and proven competency to capture time and bill according to guidelines in a timely manner, a must. The ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure of multiple deadlines is essential. The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills, good common sense, and excellent problem solving skills. Ideal candidate must be detail oriented, work well under pressure, and have a good attendance record.
