Position Details - Grade: ASTD21, ASTD22 - Location: District II (Dorchester, Somerset, Worcester, and Wicomico Counties) and District III (Caroline, Cecil, Kent, Talbot, and Queen Anne's Counties) - Full-time employment with a salary range of $93,424.00 - $135,450.00/year - HR Analyst: Marie Figueroa Ocasio - Work location in various counties in the Eastern region
Position Duties - Represent clients in all stages of criminal cases - Conduct legal research and analysis - Draft reports, briefs, and correspondence - Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and service providers - Negotiate with prosecutors and judges - Manage a full caseload - Seek professional development opportunities
Minimum Qualifications - Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school - Experience as a practicing Attorney - Admitted to practice law in Maryland
Desired/Preferred Qualifications - Demonstrated commitment to serving marginalized communities - Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills - Dedication to addressing systemic racism and prejudice in the criminal legal system - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse, team-oriented environment - Exceptional organizational, legal, and administrative skills - Criminal jury trial experience required; felony jury trial experience preferred - Active membership in good standing in the Maryland Bar or Bar of another state
