Flexible schedule Professional development assistance We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join our growing team at the Collins Family & Elder Law Group. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly respected law firm and be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to our clients. As an Estate Planning Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases, including estates, trusts, wills, and elder law matters. We are looking for a detail-oriented, team player who is eager to contribute to the growth and success of our firm.
Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents, review laws and statutes, and meet with clients to finalize plans for their future. - Host consultation meetings with potential clients to discuss our firm's services and expertise, and provide guidance on the legal course of action for their unique needs. - Provide exceptional client service and maintain regular contact with clients throughout the legal process. - Analyze legal situations, understand client needs, and develop strategic plans of action to effectively solve legal problems. - Set boundaries with clients as needed to ensure the profitability and protection of the firm and its attorneys. - Effectively track and manage billable time on hourly and flat fee cases. - This position will primarily be based in our Fort Mill office, but may require occasional travel to other offices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing elder law, preferably with experience in estate planning, estate and trust administrations, Medicaid planning, and long-term care benefits. - Must be licensed to practice law in both North Carolina and South Carolina, with CELA certification being a plus. - Experience with billing and time tracking on legal cases. - Strong negotiation and communication skills, particularly in high-stress and emotional situations. - Detail-oriented with a commitment to getting things done right the first time. - Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with both attorneys and support staff. - Compassionate and patient when dealing with clients who may be going through difficult times. - Proven ability to problem-solve and think creatively in order to find effective solutions.
Compensation:
The base salary for this position is based on experience and is subject to periodic reviews and raises based on job performance. In addition, there are opportunities for bonuses based on performance.
