Summary: Boston Scientific is seeking an experienced employment law attorney to join their legal department as Counsel I, Employment. This role will be based at the company's global headquarters in Marlborough, MA and will report to the Director, Employment Law, Global Operations. The successful candidate will provide legal advice and counsel on various employment matters and partner with HR and other departments to support the company's businesses and functions. The role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in the office at least three days per week.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide legal advice and counsel on employment matters such as hiring, performance management, discrimination, harassment, and more. - Partner with Employee Relations to advise on employee investigations. - Counsel on human resources policies and programs, including diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. - Review and advise on non-competition, non-solicitation, and separation agreements. - Strategically partner with in-house and outside counsel in employment litigation matters. - Participate in or lead department projects and support employment law practice group matters.
Required Qualifications: - J.D. and admission to MA or another state bar. - 4 years of relevant experience practicing employment law. - Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices. - Experience reviewing and revising personnel policies for compliance. - Experience with employment investigations and defending discrimination matters.
Preferred Qualifications: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong work ethic, creativity, and ethical standards.
Compensation: - Minimum salary: $127,900 - Maximum salary: $243,000 - Actual compensation may vary based on location and other factors. - Non-exempt roles may include variable compensation and annual bonus. - Exempt roles may include variable compensation and long-term incentives.
