Overview
Amazon is seeking an Employee Relations Manager to join their North American Employee Relations team. This team supports Field Operations organizations across fulfillment and logistics business lanes, with the objective of ensuring fair and respectful treatment of employees in line with the company's core values and objectives. The Employee Relations Manager will play a critical role in proactively and reactively addressing employee relations issues, managing large-scale projects, and collaborating with various stakeholders to drive positive workplace relations.
Key responsibilities
- Detect and mitigate risks through the application of employee and labor relations expertise - Handle crisis management situations under time constraints with sound judgment - Independently own and deliver large-scale projects that improve the employee experience - Analyze data to develop recommendations and measure the success of programs - Communicate effectively through written and verbal communication, including public speaking and training - Collaborate with stakeholders to influence change and build relationships - Problem-solve independently and persevere through barriers - Launch and manage sustainable mechanisms for entire networks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field - 7 years of experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law - Successful record of creating and executing programs at scale - Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Strong communication skills and ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds - Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications
- Advanced degree or specialized training in labor/employee relations - Leadership experience in distribution, logistics, or transportation industries - Experience building and launching programs that drive positive engagement - Ability to analyze and use metrics to improve the employee experience - Comfortable in a fast-paced and changing environment - Strong sense of accountability and decision-making skills - Fluency in multiple languages
