Human Resources Specialist - Employee Records
Entry Level - Corporate Office - Kent, Ohio
JOB DESCRIPTION: • Supports Human Resources Department by processing employee paperwork, including rehires, terminations, transfers, salary changes, reporting, etc. • Assists with on-line applicant tracking system • Assists with onboarding system for new hires. • Enters data into HR computer system (SAP) and verifies accuracy of data. • Resolves questions and problems related to source documents and data entry. • Responds to verbal and written inquiries from field and office employees. • Assists with or is responsible for special projects as needed or assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree or higher preferred. • 1-3 years' experience entering data, creating reports and working with an integrated HR information system preferred. • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel • Must be organized and able to work with a sense of urgency with accuracy while handling multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines. • Exercises good judgment and maintain confidentiality in maintaining critical and sensitive information, records, and reports. • Ability to work with all levels of management and staff. • Ability adapt to changing priorities and maintain composure in stressful situations. • Ability to work in a close team environment with overlapping/shared responsibilities and maintain positive working relationships. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Uses own initiative and can work independently. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Prior experience working with SAP and Success Factors.
