Orbital ATK is currently seeking an experienced Electrician to provide support to our Missile Products Division team in our Rocket Center, WV offices.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Repair and maintain all industrial plant electrical equipment; including repairing/installing general power/lighting, repairing various industrial machinery (ovens, CNC machines, HVAC's, fire system controls, fiber placement machines, robot controls, PLC's, facility management controls, etc.), repairing 7.2kV/34.5kV distribution lines, repairing boiler controls, and preventive maintenance on all items listed.
Education/Experience:
* 3 years working as an electrician in industrial environment. * High school diploma. Journeyman electrician license or equivalent experience. * Must be able to competently read and understand electrical schematics. * Work with little or no supervision.
Technology Knowledge:
* High degree of mechanical aptitude and the ability to respond appropriately in high stress situations. * Candidate must have a thorough understanding of electronics including but not limited to: Power devices such as SCR's, and all types of solid state devices, AC and DC motors and controllers, ladder and relay logic, programmable logic controllers, weigh systems, temperature measurement systems, assorted relay and programmable control systems and refrigeration controls. Candidates must be able to safely work with high voltage (480 VAC and 7200 VAC) power distribution systems.
