Job Description
Allstate is seeking a highly motivated Early Career Personal Injury Protection Attorney to join our legal team in Nassau County, New York. This is a hybrid role, offering a mix of in-office and remote work. As a PIP Attorney, you will handle a variety of insurance defense litigation cases, including no fault, bodily injury, and property damage lawsuits. You will also provide counsel to business clients and monitor new laws and regulations to ensure optimal legal strategies. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation, from case inception to verdict. - Conduct Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Examinations Under Oath (EUOs) and prepare comprehensive reports. - Review new file assignments, analyze evidence, and develop case strategies. - Conduct AAA no-fault arbitrations, mediations, and trials. - Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation opportunities. - Keep claim business partners updated on case status. - Monitor changes in laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize legal strategies.
Education:
- Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
Minimum Requirements:
- Successful completion of courses focused on legal research, writing, and analysis. - Strong time management skills. - Organizational and communication skills. - Knowledge of legal ethics and professional conduct. - Negotiation skills. - Must be able to commute to courthouses throughout the greater New York area.
Compensation:
Compensation for this role ranges from $66,800 to $120,650 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
