About the Organization
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is a non-profit organization that provides legal services and advocacy for children in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Our Education Program focuses on securing early intervention and special education services for children with disabilities, as well as educating caregivers and other stakeholders on special education rights.
Key Responsibilities
- Advocate for children with disabilities and their families in securing necessary education services - Train and supervise pro bono attorneys, interns, and law clerks - Develop and deliver community trainings and tools to support clients and caregivers - Address issues of ableism, racism, sexism, and homophobia within our clients and internal systems

Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- J.D. degree - 0-3 years of legal experience for Staff Attorney, 4-7 years for Senior Attorney - California bar admission in good standing - Personal, educational, or professional experience in education advocacy, child welfare, juvenile justice, or working with diverse populations - Bilingual Spanish language skills preferred

- Excellent written and oral communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with various professionals and clients - Organizational skills for managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment - Strong work ethic and dedication to social justice - Ability to work as a team member with a pleasant and collegial approach
Salary and Benefits
This is an exempt, full-time paid position with a target starting salary of $75,000-$93,000, depending on experience. COVID-19 Considerations
During the pandemic, this position has been remote with occasional travel to the office or schools for advocacy meetings. Candidates may be asked to work in the office at any time and at the employer's discretion. Vaccination is required for all employees for the safety of our team and clients.
