Are you an experienced Docket Administrator looking for a new opportunity with a reputable law firm? Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Docket Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the Firm's master litigation calendar and ensuring that all deadlines and events are accurately recorded and communicated to attorneys and staff.

This position is not assigned to a specific office, giving you the flexibility to work remotely. However, we prefer candidates who are located near one of our east coast offices (Pittsburgh, PA, Philadelphia, PA, Harrisburg, PA, Princeton, NJ, or Miami, FL) and have the ability to come into the office when needed for training or other necessary tasks.
Some of the key responsibilities of this role include training and using docketing software, reviewing and entering deadlines into the docket control software, conducting research on court rules, maintaining an up-to-date database of calendar entries, and running reports to distribute to attorneys and staff. You will also act as a resource for any questions related to court rules and deadlines, communicate with the Docket Manager, and back up other Docket Administrators as needed.
To be successful in this role, you must have a thorough understanding of legal terms, pleadings, and court structures, as well as at least 2 years of experience in law office calendaring. You should also have strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word and Excel, and the ability to use docketing software. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently are also essential.
