SUMMARY Alaska Industrial Hardware, a subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is currently seeking a qualified Distribution Center Worker for our Anchorage Distribution Center. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Under limited supervision receive and stock freight, pull inventory for orders and perform normal Distribution Center/Warehouse duties accurately. This position entails a high degree of attention to detail and the task at hand. This position falls within the Medium to Heavy work category. Once must be capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds of force frequently. One must be able to work effectively in all temperature ranges and subject to ambient weather conditions. One must be able to remain standing and or walking for a minimum of eight hours per day on non-forgiving concrete surfaces. One must be comfortable climbing ladders to pull product. One must professionally represent the company through responsible warehousing skills, professional appearance, and superior customer service. QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION Required (Minimum) Qualifications Must pass pre-employment drug screening Must be able to work any shift/day of the week with notice Subject to post-accident/reasonable suspicion drug testing Minimum of 16 years old Ability to determine and differentiate quantities and units of measure such as pounds, pints, gallons, dozen, feet, each, as to determine proper piece counts for customer orders Ability to read and write English Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Possess the proper situational awareness to work safely in a Distribution Center environment where you and others are using and operating forklifts, pallet jacks, packaging machines, ladders, box cutters and other potentially dangerous equipment and tools.
