Director and Assistant General Counsel, Cybersecurity (Hybrid) - RTX Corporation
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as subject matter expert on cybersecurity law within RTX Corporate Legal, Contracts and Compliance (LCC) organization - Advise and counsel RTX and its businesses on all aspects of cybersecurity law, including incident response, compliance, and transactions and contracts - Provide day-to-day legal support to RTX Enterprise Cybersecurity Services (ECS) organization - Work closely with RTX Privacy organization and act as Privacy professional for RTX ECS - Monitor and shape cybersecurity laws, regulations, and policies, and develop relationships with industry and government partners - Develop and deliver training on cybersecurity law for lawyers, contract professionals, and employees - Provide legal advice and counsel on cybersecurity incident response and insurance matters - Advise on cybersecurity aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures (MA&D) - Manage outside counsel and vendors on cybersecurity legal matters
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree - Minimum of 10 years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience - Admitted to and able to maintain the ability to practice law in the U.S. - Knowledge of U.S. and global cybersecurity and data protection laws, regulations, and policies - Previous experience advising and counseling clients on cybersecurity and/or data protection matters
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years law firm and/or in-house experience in cybersecurity law - Strong investigative, analytical, written, and oral communication skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with multiple priorities and deadlines - Effective team builder and player with strong collaborative relationships - Experience in corporate and business legal functions - Expertise in cybersecurity aspects of U.S. government acquisition regulations and European data protection regulations - Background in cybersecurity, information technology, and/or data protection, with related certifications
