POSITION OVERVIEW: The primary responsibility of the Director - Market Development Texas is to develop growth from new and inactive players and maintain active database from players residing in the Texas region on the behalf of The Venetian Resort.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort's policies, practices, and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Identify opportunities for improvement from current internal communication and reinvestment. *Develop strategic initiatives to reach key objectives and maintains department focus on strategic player development priorities related to expanding clientele and market share. *Drive productivity through cold calls, telemarketing, player development trips, and networking. *Identify and develop key strategies that may support all regional marketing initiatives. *Drive acquisition of new and inactive players to the property, but also maintain retention. *Responsible for meeting and achieving all personal and team goals. *Aggressively target players primarily residing in Texas (but not limited to) the rest of the United States and Canada, utilizing player development trips, special events, promotions, and SOTs to secure business. *Effectively promote the features and benefits of The Venetian Resort verses the competition. *Develop and manage market events to further relationships with existing guests to harvest new business. *Aggressively pursue Premium customers with additional focus on Premium Mass. This includes the ability to convey the terms of all of our events, offers and promotions, and effectively secure reservations. ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: *Develop strategic initiatives and partner programs to source partner opportunities with regional casinos and other companies that work with high net-worth individuals. *Arrange timelines to complete tasks and interface with other stakeholders and/or departments to complete and meet the deadlines related to those assignments. *Develop and regularly evaluate and improve reporting to render an opinion based on that information that will affect the department or function. *Utilize reporting methodologies and all strategic initiatives to manage the sales team to greater profitability. Must be able to drive the team to greater top-line growth and maintain bottom-line profitability. *Collaborate with the Domestic and Asian Marketing casino team to create and develop events that coincide to drive visitation and profitability for the Premium segments. *Safety is an essential function of this job. *Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job. *Performs other related duties as assigned. ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: *21 years of age. *Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States. *High School Diploma or equivalent. *Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board registration, an Alcohol Awareness card, and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. *7 years of player development and marketing experience in the gaming industry. *Must reside in Texas. *Experience with a 4 star/diamond property preferred. *Must have verifiable success being proactive in responding to changing market factors. *Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. *Excellent leadership capabilities and skills to influence, inspire, and motivate key stakeholders and Team Members around a single vision. *Strong financial acumen and bottom-line orientation. *Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience. *Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. *Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned. *Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation. *Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts. *Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts. *Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel. *Work in a fast-paced and busy environment. *Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
