Director, Risk and Compliance: A Key Leadership Role at F5
The Director of Risk and Compliance at F5 Networks is responsible for ensuring the organization conducts its business in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. This position reports to the Deputy General Counsel of Business Integrity & Chief Privacy Officer and oversees a team of legal and compliance professionals. The Director plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization's integrity, reputation, and stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a global team of experienced compliance managers, providing strategic and centralized leadership to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements. - Develop and maintain F5's ethics and compliance strategy, including the Enterprise Code of Conduct and subordinate policies. - Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop tools, practices, and policies to monitor and manage risks. - Collaborate with other departments to address compliance issues and ensure appropriate governance. - Support the Third-Party due diligence program and oversee the Business Integrity hotline. - Conduct training and awareness programs for senior leadership and employees to ensure understanding of ethics and compliance issues. - Build strong internal and external relationships and foster a culture of collaborative teamwork. - Manage and triage anonymous ethics and compliance reports/complaints. - Hold yourself and your team accountable for delivering on commitments.
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree and active law license in at least one state in good standing. - 5-10 years of direct experience in compliance, enterprise risk management, auditing, project management, or closely related field. - 3-5 years of experience in-house. - 5-7 years of experience building and leading geographically distributed teams. - Thorough knowledge of global anti-corruption, anti-bribery, competition, and anti-trust laws and regulations. - Excellent communication and leadership skills. - Ability to analyze, assess, and prioritize projects and tasks. - Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. - Experience managing and triaging anonymous ethics and compliance reports/complaints.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification(s) such as CCEP, ARM, CPA, CIA, or other related certification.
Salary Information:
- Annual base pay: $188,426.00 - $282,638.00 - Incentive compensation, bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits may also be offered. - F5 maintains broad salary ranges to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions.
