JOB OVERVIEW Lead shared services finance and accounting operations for all non-academic units excluding auxiliaries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS *Develop and present budget documents for the departments served by the Shared Services Office. *Analyze operating revenue/expenses. *Direct daily operations of budgeting, transfers, purchasing and payments for areas served. *Prepare various written communications, reports and documents to ensure smooth and consistent operations. *Review, identify and prioritize strategic initiatives to provide comprehensive support to senior leadership. *Perform ad-hoc financial analysis for departments to help make informed financial decisions. *Analyze operational opportunities and implement action plans to improve efficiencies. *Serve as liaison between the accounting & finance and HR shared services teams. *May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). *Perform related duties based on departmental need. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Seven (7) years of relevant accounting and/or business experience.
