Deputy State's Attorney - White River Junction, VT

The Windsor County State's Attorney's Office in White River Junction, Vermont is seeking a Deputy State's Attorney to join their team. As a DSA, you will have the opportunity to represent the State's Attorney's Office in prosecuting criminal and certain civil offenses within Windsor County. This is a full-time exempt position with a salary range of $30.67 to $60.74 per hour, based on relevant legal experience and admission to the Vermont Bar. In addition to a competitive salary, this position is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement, and paid time off.
Responsibilities: - Represent the State's Attorney's Office in prosecuting criminal and certain civil offenses within Windsor County - Effectively manage a caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment - Collaborate with coworkers, law enforcement, community agencies, and other partners to pursue best practices and positive outcomes in the justice system
Requirements: - J.D. degree and admission to the Vermont Bar - Courtroom and jury trial experience preferred - Excellent verbal and writing skills - Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently - Computer proficiency and data entry experience - Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and establish effective working relationships
