**Deputy State’s Attorney – Multiple Counties in Vermont**

**Job Type: Full-Time (part-time in Addison County)**
**Salary: $30.67 – $60.74 per hour**
The State of Vermont Department of State’s Attorneys and Sheriffs is currently seeking Deputy State’s Attorneys (DSA) for multiple counties in Vermont. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys interested in criminal justice work and gaining substantial experience in trial work. Each position is full-time, with the exception of Addison County, and offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Interested candidates must have a J.D. degree and be admitted to the Vermont Bar, with preference given to those with courtroom and jury trial experience.
**Responsibilities:**
- Represent the State’s Attorney’s Office in prosecuting criminal and certain civil offenses within the County - Effectively manage caseload and adhere to deadlines, while pursuing best practices and positive outcomes in the justice system - Work collaboratively with coworkers, law enforcement, community agencies, and other partners - Assist other offices at the direction of the State’s Attorney or Executive Director
**Qualifications:**
- J.D. degree and admission to the Vermont Bar - Courtroom and jury trial experience preferred - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
