Deputy Associate Counsel - Litigation and Risk: Salary, Job Title, and Experience Information

Responsibilities:
- Defend and manage all aspects of potential and existing litigation matters for the company's long-term care and assisted living facilities. - Conduct investigations, including interviewing witnesses and gathering and reviewing documents. - Work closely with outside legal counsel in managing assigned legal cases. - Review and manage outside legal counsel invoices and case budgets. - Handle assigned legal cases and assist with drafting routine litigation writings. - Manage and collaborate with in-house legal staff. - Assist with stakeholder education and stay informed on current laws affecting personal injury litigation and risk matters. - Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school. - Minimum of five (5) years litigation experience, with heavy focus in long-term care defense. - Must be a member in good standing of the Kentucky Bar. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet navigation. - Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. - Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
