Your role will involve supervising the team, managing your own caseload, and providing legal support to senior lawyers. With a strong understanding of the debt recovery process and experience in issuing claims to the Courts, you will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
About The Role
As a Debt Recovery Supervisor at HCR, you will have the opportunity to:
- Supervise the day-to-day work of the team - Manage aspects of files and undertake routine legal tasks - Draft legal documents and conduct legal research - Provide legal support to senior lawyers - Take an active role in promoting the firm through social media channels - Ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising the day-to-day work of the team - Deputising for the Senior Debt Recovery Manager - Managing aspects of files managed and undertaking routine legal tasks - Undertaking legal processes, such as routine file management including file opening and billing - Drafting legal documents using appropriate precedents and templates - Undertaking legal research, using appropriate methods and sourcing, presenting the results in an accurate and timely manner - Providing legal support to the designated senior lawyer and acting as a legal resource - Taking an active role with the Paralegal and Trainee (PT) group and attending networking events or careers fairs - Promoting the firm through social media channels - Ensuring all work complies with risk management policies and procedures, in line with GDPR
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A strong understanding of the debt recovery process - Experience of issuing claims to the Courts - Experience of supervising a team (desirable) - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail - Proactive self-starter with a willingness to learn - Client service focused - Strong IT skills with accurate typing capability - Excellent communication skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work as an effective member of a team and to offer support to peers - Legal qualification preferably post LPC or working towards
