Job Description
Project description:
SLIMM is referred to as a digital enabler project to establish a standardized corporate solution for spatial and media data from inspections, enabled by Omnia and supporting value creation from the portfolio of robotics, drones, digital corrosion management and other inspection initiatives.
SLIMM combines Spatial data,
• Spatial information can be used for many purposes, as planning, operations, maintenance, definitions of data relations, by a visualization solution or by robots and drones.
• More and more media data (e.g. images, videos and audio files) are gathered from inspections and field observations. Storage of media-type data is scattered across repositories, solutions and applications – many in which are unfit to preserve these data for either efficient retrieval or re-use for other purposes. By starting with a corporate solution for media and spatial data we will create the necessary gravity for enrolling the most valuable use cases for current and future robots and drone operations – and integrate with our suppliers in a seamless way.
Tasks:
• Mature the SLIMM concept as an enterprise data platform capability, design and plan data architecture and data products.
Qualifications Required
• Azure architecture competence (including components for ingestion, storage, cataloging, transformation, indexing, data movement and APIs for spatial data) • Media data storage • Spatial data and positioning systems • Working in agile team • Open and communication skills
Able to use human centric design principles, data mesh and data product design principles linking it back to the Equinor Enterprise Data Architecture with a fit for purpose bounded context and design.
