Law Firm Seeking Experienced Criminal Defense Attorney H1: Join Our Team as a Criminal Defense Attorney at Law Firm H2: Represent Clients with Criminal Charges as a Defense Attorney at Law Firm
The Garza Law Firm is seeking an experienced Criminal Defense Attorney to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients facing criminal charges. Our ideal candidate has a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree, admission to the Tennessee State Bar, and at least 1-3 years of previous criminal law experience.
Responsibilities:
• Personally handle assigned criminal cases from initial new client meetings through local and federal court appearances. • Review intake details provided by New Potential Clients to understand and determine the viability of the case. • Consistently practice being available to take New Potential appointments and sell the capabilities of Garza Law Firm. • Draft legal and motion pleadings and present statements of law, facts, and arguments both written and orally. • Perform legal research and develop the best legal strategy for each client. • Document and monitor case updates to ensure proper maintenance and timely completion of tasks.
Requirements:
• Must possess a Juris Doctoral degree and be licensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee in good standing. • 1-3 years of previous criminal law experience. • Familiarity with case and client management software and systems. • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Conversational Spanish fluency as a second language. • 1-3 years of experience working in a small to medium law firm. • 1-3 years of previous criminal hearings and/or trial experience.
