Responsibilities:
- Establish and build strong working relationships with TMNA's Business Units and management. - Advise on corporate transactions and negotiate and draft necessary documentation. - Manage outside counsel for regulatory and transactional matters. - Oversee privacy, cyber-security, records retention, and AI issues. - Provide insurance regulatory advice and legal consultation to Business Units. - Liaison to Internal Audit and Compliance Departments. - Develop and manage compliance training. - Analyze industry and monitor regulatory environment to develop strategies for the organization.
Qualifications:
- JD degree required with admittance in PA or NY. - 5-10 years' combined experience at a law firm specializing in insurance regulation, at an in-house legal department or equivalent. - Experience with insurance companies and regulation helpful but not required. - Strong knowledge of multi-state insurance regulatory matters. - Knowledge of business concepts and processes. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel. - Superior writing and communication skills. - Superior customer service orientation. - Superior project management skills. - Strong interpersonal relationship building skills. - Superior analytical ability. - Strong attention to detail. - Strategic thinking. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team. - Ability to work independently and without supervision.
