Job Description
In the role as Alliance cost controller you will be accountable for ensuring consistency and quality of cost estimates, modelling MLCs, alignment with actual costs reporting and incentives determination under each individual MLC agreement. Main responsibilities and tasks: Coordinate cost estimates and MLCs input flows from Alliance participants (Aker BP time planner, job officers, Alliance partners) and 3rd parties. Actively collaborate with Alliance partners to establish consistent cost estimates and MLCs and ensure correct level of contingency is promoted. Timely establish MLC, support the Commercial Manager and lead engineers to set up the MLC Agreement and submit it for approval to the Alliance management team. Update cost estimates and MLCs according to change of scope in close collaboration with lead engineers and Alliance partners. Maintain MLC calculation model and regularly report the evolution of actual costs vs. estimates and MLC. Determine final actual costs, MLC-comparable costs and individual incentives. Prepare and present with the Commercial Manager MLC agreements background and outputs for approval by stakeholders. Ensure a close collaboration with the cost controller for the Intervention team at any time of the process, with a particular attention to the consistency of cost reporting, development of procedures or systems allowing for integrated cost management. Develop with the cost controller for the Intervention team processes to standardise costs estimates and MLCs. Implement new types of incentives agreed by the Alliance in collaboration with the Commercial Manager. Ensure consistency of approach from all partners within the Alliance estimating functions. Promote use of Alliance cost data for concrete improvements. Develop close collaboration and efficient interface routines between the Alliance, ExpRes, Assets and Finance functions to align medium- and long-term cost estimates processes. Provide input for Aker BP budget, economic analysis, project assessment, etc. Analyse actual costs evolution in time to assess Alliance value and competitiveness. Drive improvements within the estimating area and support ongoing digitalization and flow efficiency initiatives for cost estimates and MLCs, among others through implementation of new time planner and Z Portal. Collaborate to the development of visualisation tools for data analysis and Alliance incentive tracking.
