Corporate and Real Estate Paralegal – Orlando / Tampa:

Responsibilities:
• Interface with attorneys and clients in a professional and confidential manner • Perform tasks related to trademark registrations, asset purchases, mergers and acquisitions, and closing transactions for institutional lenders • Assist with the formation of corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships • Draft organizational documents and file IRS forms, annual reports, foreign qualifications, fictitious name registrations, and entity dissolutions • Prepare, draft, and review agreements, contracts, deeds, mortgages, lien releases, and other real estate closing documents • Conduct legal research on applicable real estate laws and regulations • Work with attorneys, brokers, escrow agents, and lenders to expedite purchasing processes, clear title defects, and resolve other legal issues • Create critical dates timelines and manage the closing process to meet set deadlines • Order and review title and surveys and issue title insurance policies • Coordinate and attend real estate closings • Perform recording of documents, disbursement of closing proceeds, and other post-closing tasks • Occasionally perform clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, providing information to callers, drafting routine correspondence, and processing incoming mail
Qualifications:
• Associate degree in paralegal or legal studies or paralegal certificate • 1-2 years of related experience in a law firm or title company, or equivalent combination of education, work experience, and training in a similar setting • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Ability to work independently with little supervision and take ownership of work product for accuracy • Proficiency with MS Office, e-Recording, and document management systems • Familiarity with TRID policies and other guidelines governing Florida residential real estate closings • Strong customer service skills and ability to work well in a team • Ethical behavior and ability to maintain confidentiality of client and firm information at all times • Desire for continual growth and learning, adaptability to change, and ability to balance competing demands in a fast-paced environment
