Summary:
The Corporate Paralegal in Charlotte, NC will be responsible for contract management, compliance, and corporate governance for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, a mortgage lender specializing in non-traditional loans. The ideal candidate will have experience in vendor contract negotiation, technology-related contracts, and a strong understanding of compliance and legal matters. This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule in the Ballantyne area.

Job Title:
Corporate Paralegal in Charlotte, NC
Experience:
3-5 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably in vendor management or contract management within the technology or mortgage industry
Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, revising, and negotiating contracts (vendor contracts, SaaS, service level agreements (SLAs), cloud services, data privacy, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)) - Maintain a contract database for centralized storage, organization, and data entry, highlighting risk areas - Develop contract and NDA playbooks - Assist with maintaining corporate records, corporate governance policies, and board and committee meetings - Serve as a liaison between the internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication, coordination, and workflow of legal and corporate matters - Assist in drafting and management of internal policies and procedure - Conduct legal research on corporate governance, regulatory issues, and other matters as needed - Assist in reviewing, analyzing, and responding to subpoenas - Monitor and ensure compliance with a broad range of laws, regulations, industry standards, and company policies (corporate governance, intellectual property, data protection, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and mortgage origination laws and regulations) - Assist in corporate transactions such as organizing and maintaining due diligence materials, reviewing purchase and sale agreements, and coordinating signatures
Requirements:
- Paralegal certification or equivalent education/experience - 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably in vendor management or contract management within the technology or mortgage industry - Strong understanding and proven experience in contracts, corporate governance, and compliance matters - Strong understanding of technology vendor management, including software licensing, cloud services, AI, data privacy, and cybersecurity - Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of professionalism - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments - Proficient in legal research tools, contract management software, and MS Office Suite - Familiarity with mortgage industry regulations and compliance requirements preferred - Ability to work in our Ballantyne office located in Charlotte, NC
