DLA Piper, a renowned and dynamic law firm, is seeking a talented and experienced mid-senior level associate to join their Corporate practice in Minneapolis. The firm serves Fortune 500 global companies and is looking for someone with 4-7 years of substantive corporate transactional experience, specifically in complex cross-border transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and global corporate restructurings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough research, drafting legal documents, and writing reports with accuracy and precision. - Possessing excellent organizational skills and the ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks. - Demonstrating a high level of intelligence, business acumen, diligence, and self-motivation. - Maintaining a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills. - Prioritizing and managing a significant workload of diverse matters in a timely and efficient manner. - Collaborating with various stakeholders and seamlessly running transactions. - Being a team player and contributing to a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor Degree from a nationally ranked law school. - Licensed to practice law in Minnesota. - 4 years of experience with a national or international law firm.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cross-border mergers and acquisitions. - Experience working with local counsel globally and managing complex transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Sedentary work with occasional walking and standing. - Hybrid work schedule with some in-office expectations.
