Job Title: Corporate Counsel - Legal Advisor for Environmental Services Company

Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including customer and supplier agreements, procurement contracts, MOUs/LOIs, and confidentiality agreements - Manage disputes and claims, including change orders, design defects, breach of contract issues, and arbitration proceedings - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies - Provide timely and strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders on a range of legal matters - Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations with external parties - Develop and maintain relationships with external counsel - Support continuous improvement of legal operations processes - Conduct legal research and analysis of laws and regulations - Design and deliver legal training to the business
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a nationally recognized law school - Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial law, with at least 3 years in an in-house counsel role - Licensed to practice law and member in good standing of a Bar association
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in negotiation of procurement contracts, environmental compliance matters, or advising on government contracts - French or Spanish language proficiency
Additional Information:
- This position is full-time and offers competitive benefits and flexible work arrangements - Travel estimated at 20%, some international travel may be required - This position is hybrid - office and home-based and can be located in any one of the many US and Canadian-based sites
