The Role:
The Corporate Counsel will be responsible for providing legal advice to leadership and functional departments to ensure compliance and minimize risk for Fuyao Glass America Inc. In this role, the Corporate Counsel will negotiate commercial contracts, manage litigation, and provide legal advice to management. This is a full-time position located in Moraine, OH.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to leadership and functional departments to ensure compliance and minimize risk - Negotiate commercial contracts with third parties - Manage litigation and company's involvement in all legal matters - Engage and manage outside counsel when necessary - Conduct legal research and provide legal advice to senior management to mitigate risk - Prepare and review contracts, including NDAs, joint development agreements, and purchase and sales agreements - Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older - Juris Doctor degree and active license to practice law in the state of Ohio - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive industry - Strong understanding of contract law and experience negotiating commercial contracts - Experience managing litigation and working with outside counsel - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Understanding of ethical and compliance standards in a corporate setting
