Job Title: Corporate Counsel Status: Full-time Professional
Job Summary: As a Corporate Counsel at BPMI, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and counsel on all matters affecting BPMI activities at all BPMI locations. You will serve as the legal counsel and advisor to BPMI Leadership, providing counsel on government contracting, employment law, labor relations, and employee benefits. You will also interface with company management, the BPMI Board of Directors, and outside counsel as needed. Additionally, you will advise on matters related to subcontracting, procurement, export control, and federal and state laws and regulations affecting the organization.
Essential Duties: - Serve as legal counsel and advisor to BPMI Leadership on all BPMI activities - Provide counsel on government contracting and prime contract compliance issues - Act as legal resource for BPMI management on employment law, labor relations, and employee benefits - Independently carry out assignments and make final legal determinations - Proactively identify issues and needs within BPMI and work collaboratively with management to address them - Interface with company management, the BPMI Board of Directors, and outside counsel as needed - Advise on subcontracting and procurement in the government contracting environment - Advise on Export Control matters - Collaborate with BPMI management in the development and application of company policies, procedures, and business practices - Provide counsel in prevention, handling, and settlement of lawsuits, charges, and claims - Advise on the legal aspects and implications of federal and state laws and regulations affecting BPMI - Support EEO and Environmental, Safety, and Health program objectives

Minimum Job Requirements: - J.D. degree from accredited law school program - 7 years of experience as an attorney representing a corporation, the U.S. Government, U.S. Government contractor, or other related corporate law experience - Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, or ability to obtain Limited In-House Corporate Counsel License within 6 months - Requires a security clearance
Preferred Job Requirements: - Current license to practice law in Pennsylvania - Current Secret government clearance - Previous legal experience working with the NNPP - Additional education and/or experience in government contracting - Working knowledge and understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) - Experience working as counsel for a government contractor - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail
