Job Description:
- Corporate Counsel/Sr. Corporate Counsel responsible for addressing a broad array of legal matters to support the company's business - Works closely with other members of the Legal team and internal business clients - Provides legal advice, training, and support to business clients - Drafts, reviews, and negotiates various contracts
Responsibilities:
- Provide clear and business-savvy legal advice and risk guidance to business partners and key stakeholders - Counsel on a wide range of corporate issues and cross-functional projects - Draft, negotiate, and advise on various legal and contractual matters, including clinical trial agreements, research agreements, and distribution agreements - Review contracts and other legal documents and advise on appropriate legal actions - Develop and manage legal templates and procedures - Engage in activities such as licensing, collaborations, and third-party vendor contracting - Maintain relationships with business clients and third-party contracting parties - Provide legal support for the development of innovative services or products - Mentor and supervise lower-level legal staff and/or lead indirect teams - Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and 7 years of practice as an attorney in a well-regarded law firm and experience with a life sciences company or a reputable, highly rated law firm with a focus on representing life science companies, or a combination of both - Active license to practice law in any state - Ability to identify, analyze, and render legal advice on complex issues - Excellent drafting and negotiation skills - Strong corporate compliance and transactional experience, including contract drafting skills - Ability to anticipate business and industry issues and recommend improvements - Proficiency in general corporate matters, healthcare and regulatory compliance, employment law, data privacy, risk management, and contract management - Strong leadership and mentoring skills - Excellent computer, communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills - Ability to meet multiple deadlines with high accuracy and efficiency - Creativity in problem analysis and resolution - Ability to influence internal/external business and industry issues - Understanding of strategic direction and ability to incorporate it into tactical plans - Ability to develop expertise in leading-edge theories and techniques within a strategic job function - Willingness to travel up to 25% - Integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness in all dealings
Salary and Benefits:
