Corporate Counsel-FG - 2406741: Exciting opportunity for a transactional attorney to join a leading residential lot development company, **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, as a Corporate Counsel-FG. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Governance, Risk and Securities and support Corporate Securities, Finance, Risk Management and Corporate Secretary functions.
Reports to Senior Vice President of Governance, Risk and Securities: This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Governance, Risk and Securities, providing an opportunity to work closely with executive officers and the Board of Directors.
Transactional Attorney: As a transactional attorney, the Corporate Counsel-FG will handle a variety of legal matters including corporate practices, securities and regulatory compliance, accounting, real estate transactions, insurance, marketing, finance, and real estate operations.
Responsibilities: - Draft and review corporate governance documents - Serve as a resource to the corporate legal team and executive officers - Assist with SEC filings and other securities-related work - Manage and prioritize multiple projects and provide analysis of business and legal risks - Interact with personnel across the company on compliance issues - Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner - Ability to travel overnight
Qualifications: - Juris Doctoral degree (J.D.) and 2-5 years of experience - Familiarity with corporate practices and regulatory compliance - Current license to practice law - Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills - Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively via remote methods - Proficiency with MS Office and email - Ability to sit for the majority of an 8-hour workday
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in a leading law firm or public company - Corporate transactional experience - SEC and securities experience - Risk management experience is a plus
