ABC Supply, North America's largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products, is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our growing in-house Legal Department. This role is based in Beloit, Wisconsin and will report to the Deputy General Counsel or his designee. Key Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate various commercial contracts such as supply chain agreements, sales agreements, service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. - Develop and improve contract templates and standard form agreements. - Provide legal advice and support to ABC Supply and its subsidiaries on a wide range of topics and issues. - Assist in the development of contract management processes and repository. - Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm and/or corporate legal department. - Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school. - Licensed to practice law in a U.S. state or territory. - Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. - Familiarity with commercial contracts and legal research.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Article 2 of the UCC and related matters.
