Hanwha Qcells, a global leader in solar PV solutions, is seeking a Corporate Counsel (Korean Bilingual) to join their team in Cartersville, GA. In this role, you will provide legal support on a variety of corporate matters and manage the trade compliance department. Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support and guidance to the business team and management on a variety of legal issues - Review and negotiate supplier and customer agreements - Oversee and provide guidance to the compliance department, including trade compliance - Develop corporate compliance policies and ensure adherence to regulations - Prepare and file government reports as needed - Draft legal documents and supervise outside lawyers - Stay up to date on changes to relevant regulations - Protect Qcells against legal risks, penalties, and investigations
Education and Experience:
- Korean Bilingual - Juris Doctorate from ABA accredited law school and active license to practice law in Georgia - 7-10 years of in-house counsel experience and 2-3 years at a law firm preferred - Experience in the solar industry or energy sector is a plus
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and provide practical legal advice - Experience with analysis, review, and drafting of complex vendor contracts - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Attention to detail and strategic thinking - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the organization - Legal and moral integrity - Authoritative with managerial and negotiation skills - Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines - Self-motivated and able to work independently - Comfortable working in a dynamic, multicultural environment
Salary Information: Salary for this position is competitive and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
