H2: Job Responsibilities
- Advise management on labor and employment issues such as hiring, terminations, and employee relations - Develop and implement policies and procedures related to labor and employment law - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws - Manage employee disputes and investigations - Partner with HR and leadership teams to create and maintain best practices in recruitment, onboarding, and training - Oversee company compliance with ERISA, FMLA, ADA, and other employee-related statutory requirements
H2: Required Qualifications
- Member in good standing with relevant State Bar Association - 10 years of experience as an attorney in labor and employment law, preferably in hospitality or service-oriented industries - In-depth knowledge of labor and employment laws - Strong understanding of employee benefits, workplace safety regulations, and wage and hour laws - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills - Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
H2: Education and Salary Information
- J.D. from an ABA accredited law school and undergraduate diploma or master’s degree required - Base salary range of $170,000 to $220,000 per year, with potential for additional incentives and benefits
