Law Firm Seeking Experienced Corporate/Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

Are you an experienced paralegal with a background in corporate and commercial real estate law? Do you have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment? If so, Johnston Allison Hord, a leading law firm in North and South Carolina, is looking for you! We are currently seeking an experienced Corporate/Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our team and support both our Corporate and Commercial Real Estate departments.

Responsibilities:

- Create and organize legal documents such as Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Articles of Organization, Operating Agreements, and stock certificates
- Draft Resolutions for various corporate actions
- Prepare and file dissolution documents for all entity types
- Manage Trust Account funds
- Prepare and track closing checklists and transactional documentation from letter of intent through completion of closing binders
- Participate in and attend closings and disburse closing funds
- Obtain Registry of Deeds documentation
- Assist with lease documents
- Review due diligence materials
- Handle all aspects of commercial real estate closings

Qualifications:

- Experience with nonprofit/tax exempt organizations preferred but not required
- Excellent organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Accurate typing and proofreading abilities
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Technology savvy with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Comprehensive knowledge of filing procedures with the North and South Carolina Secretary of State's office
- Working knowledge of commercial real estate transactions a plus
- Paralegal certificate and Notary required
