Corporate Associate - Law Firm in Reading - Minimum 500 words, maximum 3000 words

- Known as the leading law firm in the region, with a reputation for high quality work. - The only firm in the Thames Valley covering each specialist area (Venture Capital, Private Equity, M&A/corporate, and Corporate Finance) in depth. - Ranked Tier 1 for corporate in the South East region and nationally recognized for Venture Capital, and M&A: Lower Mid-Market and Private Equity: Mid-Market. - Focus on key sectors, including Tech, Media and Comms, Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, and Real Estate & Infrastructure.
The Corporate Team:
- Made up of 6 Partners, 1 Legal Director, 3 Associate Directors, 3 Senior Associates, 1 Associate, 2 Trainee Solicitors, 1 Solicitor Apprentice, and a Senior Paralegal. - Works closely with the Corporate teams in Bristol and London, with over 100 lawyers overall. - Opportunities for international work through the International Exchange program and overseas offsite events.
The Work:
- Involvement in a wide variety of transactions with different partners in the Thames Valley and other UK offices. - Recent transactions include advising on investments, acquisitions, joint ventures, and more for companies such as Focus Group, Highland Europe, Brompton Bicycle, and Oxular Limited. - Experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity, and/or M&A matters is preferred.
Technical Skills and Experience:
- A keen interest in providing high quality service. - Previous experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity, and/or M&A matters is preferred. - The firm is looking to appoint an Associate, but will consider candidates with more or less experience.
