Job Description
The Corporate Associate / Senior Associate will assist and lead in managing transactions, as well as provide support to junior corporate lawyers. They will also be responsible for networking and building connections in the local corporate market. The successful candidate will join a team of Partners, Senior Associates, and Associates, and will have the opportunity to work on a variety of M&A, capital markets, and private equity transactions, as well as handle company secretarial and management company work for corporates.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing transactions and provide support to junior corporate lawyers - Inspire and mentor junior team members - Network and build connections in the local corporate market - Work closely with Partners on complex and high-value transactions - Undertake company secretarial and management company work for corporates - Provide clear, timely, and competent corporate advice - Take ownership and drive business development initiatives - Balance a busy caseload and a variety of instructions - Engage with clients in a professional and confident manner - Work collaboratively with colleagues in the corporate team and other departments - Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail - Uphold the firm's values and culture
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 3-6 years' post-qualification experience - Experience in a broad range of corporate matters, including private equity, mergers & acquisitions, equity capital markets, and real estate asset transactions - Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills - Ambition to build and grow a network of clients within professional services - Ability to work effectively under pressure and balance competing priorities - Strong team player with a positive and dynamic personality - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Drive, commitment, and self-motivation - Discretion and professionalism at all times
