Salary Information: - Hourly rate: $175/hour - Ancillary services support: expert, travel, and transcripts - Flat fee case contracts with increased case caps for: - U felonies: $25,000 flat or $175/hour with a $30,000 cap - A felonies: $9,000 flat or $175/hour with a $14,000 cap - Sex felonies: $10,000 flat or $175/hour with a $15,000 cap - B felonies: $7,000 flat or $175/hour with a $12,000 cap - C felonies: $4,500 flat or $175/hour with a $10,000 cap
Job Description: - Contract attorneys for criminal cases at all levels, CINA, and appellate cases - Support and represent clients in court and during all stages of the legal process - Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide legal advice to clients - Attend hearings, trials, and other court proceedings
Experience: - Experience with criminal cases at all levels, CINA, and appellate cases - Knowledge of Alaska criminal law and procedures - Ability to handle a high volume of cases and meet deadlines - Strong communication and negotiation skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities: - Represent clients in criminal cases at all levels, CINA, and appellate cases - Conduct legal research and draft legal documents - Provide legal advice and counsel to clients - Attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings - Negotiate with prosecutors and other parties involved in the case - Maintain case files and documentation
