Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Construction Litigation Associate or Counsel with 4-7 years of experience in complex construction litigation to join our Los Angeles – Downtown office. This is a great opportunity to work on challenging and groundbreaking cases in collaboration with senior attorneys.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the Construction Litigation team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting cases. Your responsibilities may include:
• Drafting, negotiating, and administering contracts • Representing owners, contractors, design professionals, and sureties • Litigating domestic construction matters • Working on procurement-related issues • Managing risk and dispute avoidance • Documenting claims • Handling equitable adjustments and delay claims • Resolving disputes related to change orders and extra work • Managing payment and performance bond claims • Dealing with mechanics' liens, prompt payment, and conditional payment disputes • Addressing construction and design defects • Handling bid protests • Taking and defending depositions • Working with expert witnesses
Requirements:
• 4-7 years of experience in general commercial construction, complex construction projects, and infrastructure projects • Admission to the California State Bar • Strong writing ability and excellent academic credentials (please submit two writing samples with your application) • Stellar analytical, verbal communication, and negotiation skills • Experience working with expert witnesses • Ability to work on complex construction matters

Pay Transparency:
The salary range for this role is $275,000 to $320,000. This range is applicable for jobs located in Los Angeles. An employee's pay within the salary range will be determined by factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
