Job Description
The Law Firm of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is searching for a Construction Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience in construction law or equivalent experience. The position will involve transactional work, including preparing and negotiating construction contracts, change orders, and other construction-related agreements. The ideal candidate will also have experience litigating all types of construction disputes, including delay and disruption claims, payment disputes, and breach of contract claims. This is a full-time position based in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities: - Provide support to the nationally recognized construction law practice of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** - Work on a variety of construction-related matters, including counseling, dispute resolution, and contract drafting and negotiation - Prepare and negotiate construction contracts, change orders, and other construction-related agreements - Litigate all types of construction disputes, including delay and disruption claims, payment disputes, and breach of contract claims - Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide exceptional legal services to clients - Maintain strong relationships with clients and provide effective communication throughout the legal process - Conduct legal research and analysis to support legal arguments and strategies - Stay current on relevant laws and regulations in the construction industry
Qualifications: - At least 2 years of experience in construction law or equivalent experience - Strong academic credentials, including a J.D. from an accredited law school - Admission to the Illinois Bar is required - Prior experience at an AmLaw 100 firm and/or a judicial clerkship is preferred - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
