Construction Contract Attorney - Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Contract Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of construction law, including contract drafting, negotiation, review, and dispute resolution. This role will involve working closely with our project managers, engineers, and executive team to ensure our contracts are robust, protect our interests, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of construction contracts, including prime contracts, subcontracts, design agreements, and vendor agreements. Advise clients on all aspects of construction law, including contract interpretation, risk management, and dispute resolution. Analyze and interpret complex legal documents related to construction projects. Represent the company in contract negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and litigation. Monitor changes in construction law and regulations and advise the company on their potential impact. Develop and implement contract management strategies and procedures. Collaborate with project teams to ensure contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Provide training to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters. Manage outside counsel when necessary. Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction contract law. Strong understanding of construction industry practices and terminology. Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills. Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation. Experience with [Specific software or legal research tools, e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis] is a plus.
