The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. The range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000 per year.
Job Title: Compliance Officer (Attorney or CRCM) Experience: 3 years Legal and/or Compliance Responsibility in Financial Services
Responsibilities: - Develop compliance strategies for maintaining a culture of compliance within the organization - Advise business on compliance risks and steer business initiatives to maintain compliance - Establish compliance standards and implement strategies to ensure effectiveness - Assist with the development and maintenance of the Compliance Management System - Manage the regulatory environment and ensure ongoing compliance with existing and upcoming regulations - Conduct risk assessments and continuous monitoring activities - Propose operational strategies to respond to regulatory changes - Partner with stakeholders to introduce new lines of business - Develop, review, and update all compliance documentation, policies, and procedures - Oversee compliance training program and evaluate effectiveness - Assist with Fair Lending and Risk Management Committees - Handle complaint investigations and responses
Skills and Abilities: - Ability to manage a heavily regulated, complex compliance environment - Strong communication and remote management skills - Decision-making and strategy-making abilities - Research, analytical, and interpretive skills for applicable laws and regulations - Knowledge of Federal consumer credit laws and regulations - Effective oral and written communication skills - Attention to detail and strong analytical skills - Ability to work well under tight deadlines and manage changing priorities - Self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision - Familiarity with UCFS policies, procedures, and guidelines
Minimum Qualifications: - Law Degree or CRCM required - 3 years of experience in Legal and/or Compliance Responsibility in Financial Services
