ROLE TITLE: Compliance Advisory Senior Manager - Head of Capital Markets & Prudential Compliance Advisory, Group Compliance

LOCATION: Molesworth Street, Dublin 2 with Hybrid Working (currently working remotely)

This role is being offered on a permanent basis.

Compliance & Assurance is an independent, second line of defence function within the wider Risk function. 

We are looking for a dynamic Regulatory Compliance Senior Manager, to lead a team, with an analytical focus and experience of Prudential Regulations. The role is key to our second line Compliance function with responsibility for the relationships with Capital Markets, Risk, Finance and Treasury, working closely with these key business stakeholders to provide advice, guidance and oversight in respect of prudential and conduct risk. The role holder will also be the Regulatory Compliance Sustainability/ESG Champion supporting the Group's overall Sustainability Strategy.

This is an exciting and challenging position with the opportunity to develop and manage a team, whilst working closely with senior and specialist colleagues across the organisation.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN:

*Constructively engage and manage senior management in key business relationships across Capital Markets, Finance, Treasury, Risk and Sustainability, to ensure that business areas are aware of the impact of new and existing regulations and key developments in their regulatory environment. *Build and maintain effective relationships with senior key stakeholders across the Bank, working in a co-operative and constructively challenging manner.  *Work with key stakeholders across the Group and  its  Subsidiaries to ensure all prudential and conduct risks are identified, assessed and effectively managed / mitigated and all regulatory requirements are met *Assist with the identification, interpretation and analysis of existing and upstream prudential regulation and legislation within the scope of the Regulatory Compliance Universe, which may impact on the Group and its subsidiaries. Simplify detailed technical prudential publications to provide meaningful output (including impact assessment) working with other subject matter experts and key stakeholders to understand the impact of prudential changes. *Take responsibility for providing advice, guidance and oversight to the business on all prudential risks (including Liquidity & Funding, Capital & Market). Explain complex prudential and conduct matters and outline an informed  compliance view in a concise and easily understood format to senior stakeholders and committees and be confident in presenting your ideas, recommendations and findings to senior audiences. *Lead the tracking, co-ordination and execution of prudential regulatory change from a Regulatory Compliance perspective in conjunction with other risk and finance areas.  *Maintain detailed technical knowledge of relevant prudential and conduct regulatory changes and provide support, challenge, and advice to help the Bank adapt to regulatory changes, providing a proportionate degree of support and challenge. *Represent the Compliance function at senior key Committees. *Represent Regulatory Compliance on various Regulatory Change Programmes providing robust review and challenge. *Provide relevant, consistent and timely risk appropriate advice and support to the business. *Manager review and challenge (4 eye check) of junior staff member's advices prior to sending to 1LOD. *Instil ownership of regulatory compliance risk within the 1st line Business Areas through targeted training and awareness initiatives. *Attend key milestones of business and regulatory projects and provide Regulatory Compliance (and Conduct - where required) advice. *Review and challenge new products, propositions and product reviews in respect of regulatory and wholesale conduct risk. *Coordinate and compile Regulatory Compliance and Conduct MI for internal and fora reporting. *Participate in Compliance management meetings to ensure Compliance Programme is on track for delivery. *Proactively challenge internal Regulatory Compliance and Conduct Risk processes and practices to identify continuous improvements. *Delivery of training to business on Regulatory Compliance and Conduct Risk requirements. *Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of AIB processes and organisational structure. *Support and embed a strong risk culture at all times throughout the organisation. *Lead, manage, motivate and oversee the team of skilled resources.

YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW US THAT YOU CAN/HAVE:

*A minimum of 10 years compliance or regulatory experience within a Financial Services environment ( Banking, Investment Banking or Wealth & Asset Management, Insurance, Client Assets), as part of a Financial Services/Banking Institution, or in an advisory, law or business consulting capacity. Relevant Professional qualification would be advantageous. *Strong technical knowledge in prudential regulation - the EU regulatory framework including Basel, CRR/CRD, BRRD, MiFID, EMIR, and regulatory reporting (COREP, FINREP etc). Exposure to the Irish/EU regulatory environment preferable, including knowledge of EBA Guidelines and Client Asset Regulations.   *A detailed understanding of aspects of current and upcoming prudential regulation with an ability to complete initial regulatory impact assessments on new upstream regulation and develop regulatory gap analysis. *An ability to deliver a compliance view, and explain complex prudential matters in a clear, concise and easily understood format to senior stakeholders and committees and be confident in your delivery and presenting your ideas, recommendations and findings to senior audiences/stakeholders. *Experience in providing review and challenge to senior stakeholders within the Financial Services Environment and demonstrate resilience when challenged. *Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organisation. *Excellent management and organisational skills and capability to handle multiple deliverables at one time. *Highly motivated team player, with a proven ability to work on own initiative and collaborate with team members within a challenging and dynamic work environment, with excellent IT and communication skills (both spoken and written), interpersonal skills and people management skills.
